Change in season

Summer arrived yesterday on the Gulf Coast! Today has cooled down a bit and given us a reprieve. The first wave of heat reminded me that another season is ending and a new one is approaching. Just as the seasons of the year can bring a sense of excitement, we can look forward to changes in the seasons of our lives; yet we know change will bring some adjustments. I have just completed a book called Boundaries by Dr. Henry Cloud & Dr. John Townsend. The book has been around for a long time - almost 20 years. That's about the same amount of time that I have been a financial planner. I wish I had read the book 20 years ago. It's about "when to say yes and how to say no - to take control of your life." I might have avoided a few mistakes over those years and adjusted better to the changes of life with their advice tucked into my pocket. Even so, I will start with my newfound knowledge today. It's never too late to begin a new "change."
